I loved ER back in the '90s and am happy to report that John Wells' new emergency room drama is even better. Chronicling 24 hours in the lives of a Pittsburgh ER, this drama is refreshingly realistic and free of the usual television tropes.
A recently widowed psychotherapist navigates fatherhood and widowhood in this charming and funny show that manages to avoid cheap laughs.
The show we love to hate and hate to love, Survivor pits 18 souls against one another in a game of outwitting, outlasting, and outplaying to win title of sole survivor and win $1 million. (You'd think they'd raise the prize by now...).
It's a fascinating character study, and I hate that I often root more for people to get voted out than to win.
